11+ Planner

£ 7.99

Preparing for the 11+ can be a daunting task. It can require an insane amount of work for both child and guardian, as both will learn new subjects not taught at school and acquire vocabulary that many adults would be proud of! To top it off, competition for places is unlike anything else.

To improve your chances of success, you must plan your time well. This planner is designed with the help of successful 11+ parents and children to do just that.

Seven Sections to Success

2. Monthly Planner

With one page per month split into a section per day, you can record and track dates in more detail. Each page is undated, so you can start at any time of the year. It’s also important to mark days where no revision will take place.

4. Study Schedule

Once you have your list of revision materials ready, use the study schedule to plan the next level of detail. For example, use one page per book and list all the chapters you want to complete with target dates. Record progress so you can quickly see if you are on track.

6. Test Log

List up to 80 mock exams or test papers you plan to sit through the 11+ journey. Then for each test, record the subject area, the date and the percentage score so you monitor progress in one place.

1. Key Dates

Record exam dates and other important events such as mock dates, holidays, birthdays etc. This gives you a one-page ‘birds-eye’ view of the 12 months ahead.

3. Study Plan

Make a list of up to 120 books or other revision materials you plan to use to prepare for the 11+. Use a page per subject, for example, Maths, English, VR, NVR, Creative Writing etc and set your targets. Try to work backwards from your exam date and split the time equally. We recommend using a pencil for dates as these may change as you progress.

52 Week planner

As well as charting your schedule for each day, each week has a section to record new vocabulary so you can go back and revise with ease. There is also a section to record areas for improvement. We recommend that you only plan a few weeks at a time as you may need to adjust your study schedule if dates slip.

7. At a glance calendar

Reference a full 12-month calendar, with separate pages for each calendar year. As well as setting dates, countdown the number of weeks remaining until the first exam. If this doesn’t get you planning, nothing will!
